busy holiday week

It was a busy holiday week , saw three films in seven days, that's a lot even for me. I first went to see " The chronicles of Narnia, The voyage of the dawn treader". I like this series, however I find the sequels to the original are not quite as exciting . The stories and characters are lacking. I saw this one in 3D which I enjoy however , the first thing I noticed was the colors, for some reason everything looked very dull. Maybe it was me and these old eyes. A good movie to see on the big screen,   The next film I saw was "Little Fockers"  Dido;t like this one. I think the best scenes were shown in the previews. Not very funny. The only thing I enjoyed about this was Robert DeNiro facial expression. A good rental.  The third film I saw was "True Grit" Finally a western, one with a good story and great acting. I thought this was as good as the original John Wayne film, The story has some minor differences from the original film, but I thought Jeff Bridges did a great job as well as Matt Damon. I was very impressed by Harlee Steinfeld, the young actress who played the 14 year old girl, I think she did a outstanding job, hope to see more of her in the future. Great movie , I highly recommend this one.
